Modern special agent Cameron Belmore is betrayed and killed on a mission. He then wakes up as the puppet emperor of the Auren Empire, who is a eunuch kidnapped by the empress dowager, Sophia Greenwood, to impersonate the late emperor. Facing a coup, he crushes his enemies with ruthless tactics, strips his rivals of power, and outsmarts an attempt to expose his identity. As he secures the throne, greater palace conspiracies and political battles await.
